oh man, i just remembered webosaurs, which was like a flash game akin to club penguin where you decorate your own dino ... i might add it to my media log (alongside club penguin) cause i used to play the crap out of it before it shut down in 2012

if I might make some suggestions, you could convert the images that are displayed to webp and have the full res linked when you click on it. maybe having ur gallery sorted by year on seprate HTML files could also help with load times?

@starry-knight i do have a lightbox setup anyway and have hella lazy loading on all my images. i might do all the thumbnails locally and just have the full res on filegarden so at least even if filegarden is down the thumbnails are still active

the desire to host an art gallery vs the weight of having art from 2010 i'd need to compress and shove into 1GB

you could always use a free file hosting service like catbox, file garden or imgur if you need the extra space. it's what i do

@lakestheguy yeah i do have filegarden, its the pain if it goes down LOOL so i've been trying to self host on the site mostly. but i might have to go for filegarden if i do make it, cause thats a LOT of images
