like, it IS going to rain. very soon. it would almost have been better if the jar had landed on it and killed it because i basically condemned it to a slow death in the rain.

What I sometimes tried to do is use little bits of scrap wood and sawed-off end of planks to make sorta of slanted wooden huts by putting them in a upside down V shape in the ground. In big pots and planters this can work with bigger wood scraps, but small pots can be tricky. I often used it to keep a useful spider safe or just make a little safe area for things like pillbugs to surface and have a look around.

Oh! I don't think I've said it out loud yet, but I love that you Gremlin are making a little garden! I hope they're doing well, too!

Our garden is too young to have cool bugs yet, which is why im so sad about the ladybug. Barn spiders like to build webs on our porch tho because its so close to a bright light so lookin forward to that 💖🕷

And yeah. Apart from the ladybug, the plants themselves are doing pretty good. We just need to get larger pots. On a budget of 0, larger pots.

if the ladybug could properly talk, im sure it would know it was only a mistake, hopefully it will be alright somewhere, atleast your plants are getting a nice drink!

@jaiden i apologised to it at the time, but its a bit like somebody breaking your legs, leaving you in the middle of the motorway and saying "get better soon" as they drive away. its really bad luck too because we found a leafhopper on our pepper plant. leafhoppers eat pepper plants. whereas ladybugs eat leafhoppers. we have yet to find any jumping spiders in our garden :(

Unrelated but about IronFox since im unsure if my reply would be seen in the previous thread: the IronFox devs have their own f-droid repo and thus aren't part of the standard repo, see https://ironfoxoss.org/download/#f-droid . Pretty easy to add it to f-droid though. As for why they aren't on the main F-droid repo, seems to be just because they can't be arsed to put time and effort into that

Otherwise there's no issue with not being on the main f-droid repo, since f-droid doesn't have the capacity to thoroughly verify all the apps on their main repo anyway

That sucks :( I think Firefox lets you turn them all off, I've managed to (I hope)

IronFox on F-droid! it's a fork of firefox mobile, similar to Librewolf and some of the devs of librewolf also work on ironfox!

You can also get Waterfox' mobile version on the google play store, the devs of waterfox are anti-AI as well

f-droid will have a decent browser without ai. or you can jailbreak the whole device and get vanadium or something

No such browser as "ironfox" can be found in the f-droid store. the fact you need to get waterfox from google play is a big security hole considering the new rules for android developers. and the few browsers from f-droid i tried had no firefox plugin compatibility and 2 even had no adblocker unless you paid for the pro version.

Good ol' technical debt eh? ive found it easier to just restart from scratch rather than trying to fix old & unmanageable decisions
KDE plasma best DE by doing nothing while gnome shoots itself point blank once every six months
lol my gf would agree with that
I have been such a hardcore cinnamon fan and believer but man KDE is just plain good. No other DE i've tried has really come close to those two sadly.
