The customer service mentality of retail has infected education in a big way. Admin treats kids and parents like customers, and customers are always right. Teachers are nearly always at fault. This isn’t universal yet--some schools still have standards--but I’m not sure how much longer they will hold out. Younger Gen Z and Gen Alpha are gonna supply us with a surplus of Karens.
