I love it. I'm ostracised and regularly peer-pressured because I've never been to 'after work drinks'. Hold the line!

Now you gotta try predicting the future based on the public transportation system in Finland. Named "Sporalogy" it's A horoscope method created by Finnish scientist Nils Mustelin in the 1980s.

Also, as long as you don't predict any pinapples in my future, I think I'm okay with this.

I have a playlist titled "terrible songs that are good" and a couple of these are on there.

as someone with a very southern mother, i approve of this list. my favorite shania twain is i'm gonna getcha good. man i feel like a woman is a close second. my friends in college loved to use it in their drag show mixes.

i recently discovered a cd i had burned in middle school and "brokenheartsville" by joe nichols was on it. and tbh. i fuck with it. i could imagine a chappell roan cover of it sounding really nice.

@neopetgameboy Shania is a legend, I love her. Haven't heard that Joe Nichols song. These days I don't really listen to much country music. Will have to check it out.

Was happy to see Chattahoochee on here. My partner and I have it earmarked to be on our possible future wedding playlist, lol.

sibling relations always an interesting thing to reflect on especially if as someone not particularly emotionally Close with em (but in my case the only sister & youngest from a whole lineage of brothers [4 of em]. partly blaming my genderweirdness on this [halfjoke])

Really honest and lovely thing to read despite the sad subject matter, thank you. It got me very emotional, and I relate to your younger-self's space walk; you can't lose their game if you don't play it. Also sorry you were named Moo Cow.

This was a beautiful read and always interesting to me as an only child. I see your Goatlynn and raise you my dad's reasoning for my name: It reminded him of Anna Nicole Smith.

one answer to the toe situation: Pure Mischief. but also hand-to-bare-skin might well be an effective way to wake someone up... was tired af at a semirecent clubnight-event, and one of the dj-s (who recognizes me) at one point well woke me up by way of solid hand on my then-bare shoulder. but shaking a student's bare big toe is a hilarious way to for sure 😭😭😭😭

A couple of years ago I started writing an essay about Coldplay--namely about the themes of surveillance and paranoia sprinkled throughout their lyrics. But then I realized that writing something in depth about Coldplay just ... isn't worth it?

@emilynhoward It's true. I am still tempted to finish my thoughts on "Viva la Vida," but honestly that song has been in my head for weeks now and I don't want to think about it anymore.

Gawd, I felt your last paragraph 😂 I am 44, and typing this comment wearing an over large Animal Crossing Brewster pullover which I know not one coworker will recognize when I have my meetings today :p I want to take the chance to mention that I love your site's glorious use of color ♡♡♡

@dicjournal Thanks very much! A Brewster top sounds up my alley. :) I’ve been dressing with more bright colors/wacky patterns at work in the past year or so. It feels like a much more authentic version of me even though my work persona is very reserved. Sometimes I wonder if it’s confusing for people (kinda like that person who was surprised by my site), but I guess they probably don't think about me that much.
