Hi! You asked me some more specifics about the performance of your site on my laptop. I was only on your site for a couple minutes because I couldn't really do much. Because of the lag I couldn't really get my mouse curser to cooperate. I was using Firefox at the time. I just tried it on my work laptop with chrome and it was a little laggy but not as much as on my own laptop (a macbook). Hope that helps!

Hey thank you, really I appreciate it! As far as I know, the performance is a lot worse than it should be on MacBooks (particularly with Safari) and sometimes with Firefox. Of course slower machines might just struggle anyways because it's a heavier website at the moment, but that's kind of expected. It's been a little difficult to pinpoint as I don't have any apple devices to test with.

I've done a lot of work regarding optimization and performance lately. Knowing that there are still serious issues on some machines, I will be prioritizing this on the weekend when I can code with a little more intensity. Cheers, and thanks again for the Intel!

oh I've seen those!! they look real cool!! I got a refurbished iPod gen 5 classic video for Christmas in '24 so that's what I use!! but it's cool to see people having other options (because that iPod was NOT cheap)

@oopsiedoodle i am really enjoying it. it does really feel like using an ipod if you are specifically yearning for that. what really sold me was the customization. the possibilities!! i immediately was like well i'm going to have to use images of halloween beanie babies and mcdonalds chicken nuggets as my icons. i have no choice, i simply must.

@nogginzmart yeah the innioasis wasn't exactly cheap to me either, but definitely more affordable than what i have seen the refurbished ipods going for!! (because i did look into that as well) did you by chance get one in a fun color/shell?? :D

I've started reading your Lost journal, and am really enjoying it! I am also a big Lost head, I've seen it 3.5 times. Charlie definitely sucks, but he's a great part of the show. @joejoefashosho charlie's situation is complex! it is always interesting to me to see who is going to annoy me and who i am willing to give grace to this time around- it changes with each rewatch tbh. but that is another thing that makes it so great!! currently, i am giving charlie some grace. he IS battling addiction on a fucked up island. that's gotta be rough.
