I'll do another one of these since it's relevant to recent dev work for an upcoming release--The favicon! In March 1999, Microsoft released Internet Explorer 5, which supported favicons for the first time. Originally, the favicon was a file called favicon.ico placed in the root directory of a website. It was used in Internet Explorer's favorites (bookmarks) and next to the URL in the address bar.

Today's Did You Know about those 88x31 banners: The size traces back to Netscape’s 1995 Netscape Now! promotion, which rewarded webmasters for displaying an “authorized” browser badge on their site. In the Wayback Machine, the website shows that the button appeared on Netscape’s own site in 1995, and GeoCities picked up these in 1996.

Haiii! Sorry for being inactive for a couple of months... I was taking a break from studying and dealing with a bunch of life problems. Thanks for 300k views and 142 followers! I will add more buttons soon and will start updating my website again... While I was offline, I graduated from school, passed all my exams, and got accepted into university with a full state scholarship for a cybersecurity major :b

It's been a while since ive last pushed a big update to my website, wow! You can now add comments to my Kiwitter (microblog posts)! As I'm heading towards a 2 week break from the chatroom, i figured it would be a good time to launch this update. I thought it would be a fun little way to keep in touch in a slower pace while sticking to the post topic. Hope it's working as it should :')

yeah its new but ive been working on it for a while, i had onio test it for me in june lol and the issue with the comments disappearing is also fixed now, whew xD thank you so much for the help in debugging this

Your luhluh_solo3.gif at the top of your page (in the neocities site preview window) kinda looks like the Blind boss from Zelda: A Link to the Past, which gave me flashbacks to trying to beat that boss without the proper weapons.
