Man, as many drawbacks to getting old as there are, I don't miss the emotional instability and impulsivity of my youth. Granted I was the extreme of undisciplined and ruled by whatever demon was passing through. For me, during youth it's easier to look the other way and just wallow in that, whereas when you're old, for all the bad parts of it, wisdom does start to accumulate and you can see a little clearer how your
own choices are making you miserable. I wouldn't go back to that, as nice as it would be to be young with my current brain. But I think that's just a contradiction.
