spent a certain amount of time trying to add nice sounds to buttons, and only when i tried to upload here did i find i cannot use audio on free accounts... today is a sad day

extremely annoyed i dug in web design for 20 years only to now struggle this much to create my neocities website. i simply cannot create an aesthetic i like for myself. this river is dry!!!!!!!!! T-T

it seems i can't disconnect from all the ux rules i had to know to work with clients. i stopped creating for others because i was very tired of all, but i still like digital design [_______________________ this ____________________] much. maybe i am thinking too much???? i just want to find joy in this again

I studied design and it actually killed my creativity for a while too :( It helped for me to imagine my website as some kind of interactive artwork! So I approached it like I would approach my personal art :D
