im doing it via cloudflare because i already have my domain registered there, and i think the email routing is free, but one main (and unsolved) issue is that if you're sending it to a gmail account (and perhaps others too but im not sure of that) it will automatically always be marked as spam. you can circumvent this by setting a filter in gmail that all the mail forwarded from the other email address will (1/2)

always go to the inbox, but it does bring the "risk" of actual spam sent to the other email to end up in the primary mail's inbox. idk if it's the best option, it was the first one on hand for me that also didn't cost me extra. (2/2)

@staghunters i was hoping i wouldnt have to use gmail since all the data leaks and etc freak me the hell out and i've already got a history with doxing and stalking so reducing that would be really nice. but if gmail is my only option i can give it a shot. thank you though

i use proton mail for my site mail its fully encrypted and safe on that aspect you might be able to work with something from that

@leafyyy id love to use proton but i can onnly have one email at a time and i dont feel comfortable sharing my personal email to the public like that lol. forgot to mention im setting this up as a contact email
