html tip: i used to style the shit out of video elements to make sure their size was consistent between the loaded and unloaded states. turns out if you simply set the first frame of the video (img resolution equal to video resolution) to be the poster of the video (e.g. ) you can now style videos basically only for the loaded state, especially if you keep the posters under 10-30 kb
