hello again neocities :) the vps and domain name bit was fun but i think ill stick with plain ol neocities. so my jojo2k.com domain name is being retired and ill just being working on here instead. still looking into making some game servers though! more on that later maybe lol.

Part of me wants to add a cooking section to my site but then I would have to also have to learn how to take pictures. Food photography is almost its own art.

I've been thinking of doing almost the same thing! I hadn't actually considered how tricky it'd be to get a good picture of a dish, especially because I don't have a decent camera lying around. There's probably a ton that goes into such an image

My guess is that properly plating the food and using the correct lighting would go a long way. And using photo filters you can probably get away with a phone camera. Real cameras are much harder to use correctly than software cameras. But yeah, you at least have to be ready for your photo to not come out how you expect.

That is probably the case yea. I was thinking of perhaps taking the pictures outdoors, as I don't think I'll ever get good lighting inside. It could also be an opportunity to learn how to touch up photos in an editor to make them more presentable!

I feel like that could be one of my strengths in the long term once I am fully catechized. Because I was atheist for so long, I have a resilience to blasphemy and profane things that I notice not everyone has. The most useful time it comes up is with protestants because they can be quite hostile and at first Satan will come out while they are insulting you while pretending they are attempting to enlighten you.

...but if you can stay calm during these encounters and let the things they are not ready to be corrected about slide while educating them about their incorrect view of Catholicism and also reminding them that Christ would not want them to behave this way even under their own framework, you can actually position yourself to enlighten them haha. But it takes a great deal of patience because they can be ... awful.

Not sure how many of you all knew but I used to be an image board admin for a small alt board. I took the board offline a long time ago for reasons but kept the archive of it up. I coded it from scratch and was pretty proud of the software but was never proud of the content. I finally took it completely offline and replaced it with a portal to my other sites: https://board.goeshard.org/
