Well I just noticed there's like two different Christian webrings going around on neocities so hypothetically it would be okay for me to make maybe a webring for nature-based faiths? Nature-based faiths have a very easy collective word for them in Finnish (luonnonusko) but I'm not sure what would sound catchy in English though! (And no I don't think "earth religion" or "nature worship" are good terms)

how about nature faith or earth faith? kinda similar but still sound better imo, brainstorming. or if you create a graphic for it, you could call it anything and then put a broader definition in the graphic.

Yeah tricky one, because so many English terms carry some kind of historical baggage. I like the word Animism, but it might not be broad enough? I feel like Paganism can sometimes carry a pejorative undertone. So, I think Physiolatry or Naturism might be some of the better English terms for nature worship. Naturism is catchy I think :)

It is just a gap in the English language. When I read serious scholarship about nature-based religions, they'll admit we don't have an accurate term in the settled lexicon. Most terms like 'pagans' still imply being more focused on deities and legends than on nature, and its a struggle for the average person to understand religious practice that's not totally focused on deity worship. TBH you really can make your own

My tip is to use the program called MuseScore 3. You can write notes on a sheet there and click play, and the program will play it for you so you can hear what it would sound like.

The online runosong archive went down on Saturday. (Won't connect and gives an error with nginx). I called the Finnish Literature Association and they said EVERYONE from their IT and administration is on vacation until August. As an IT professional myself, I have to roll my eyes at this incompetence. Regardless, it looks like I will have vastly limited abilities to edit for the next three weeks (¬､¬)

I'm gonna make my first video about common misconceptions about Finnish mythology. I already recorded it but I'm new to this so my voice is kind of mumbly, so I need to edit a lot to make it clear! But I will accept ideas for other topics if anyone has anything specific in mind :)

Ahaha well, for um, topic suggestions, um, idk if you still play Genshin but um 👉👈 Since Nod-Krai has a lot of Finnish names, places, and other stuff named after Finnic beliefs and such, I'd loove a Finnish person to talk about them, how they are correctly pronounced and what they mean, etc. I've been meaning to make a post like that for ages but I'm too shy to record my voice...

Especially I've not seen anyon talk about "kuuvahki" = kuuväki/kuuvagi at all, even though it's a major part of Nod-Krai's lore and game mechanics. You could tackle the concept of väki at the same time! :D ✨ Sorry I got excited when I thought about Nod-Krai again sdjjsdh

Oh a 100%!!!!! I love it but I too have criticisms about it for sure. One thing is just the aesthetic being very err, feeling like the whole place is a scrap yard. And then the Frostmoon Scion's place seeming and feeling very void of life, when it could be a sacred grove full of plants and stuff. And that's just the visual side. Oh and as a plant nerd I can't get over how they named the wood you gather in there 😭

Pleeeease do! You are well-read and seem to actually know what you talk about. A lot of people who talk about Finnish paganism/folk beliefs tend to speak on very light "I think I read something about something like this one time idk" -base, and the Finnish history videos I've seen on YT by non-Finnish people get a looot of stuff wrong, so it would be great if there was actually informative and accurate videos! `:D
