Hey hey, I agree with you, there's something special about it I can't explain, I'm always thinking about how much time was put into everything, all those backgrounds aren't fillers, they spent so much time on them. You're making me want to watch the OVA again lol, I think I watched it again some time last month

@radicalblur yeah, and know the OVA was actually a pilot to pitch an entire series really makes you wonder abt everything that we lost, were the other islands developed? were there other warp zones? knuckles was exploring the sinking skyscrapers nearby meaning knuckles would've had an interesting role within the series too, it also would've been a different take on humans since they were part animal in design

I never knew it was going to be more than what came out of it and just the movie, but I've felt like it was. There's so much potenial for it, makes me wish that there was more to see. I really like the way Knuckles was in the OVA, that's a lot to think about. The way human people appeared in Sonic games over time is just confusing and kinda weird to me

@wackyworkbench At first with the games, there were just regular people and I mean Eggman/Robotnik is really mainly one of the only people? Remembering Maria and the others too. Then later I know in Unleashed that they made people look more cartoony and now people just don't really appear much at all, that there were presidents in places in Mobius, man I'm getting all caught up in this. - people in this series doesn't make sense but... don't forget that this is a series with a BLUE hedgehog guy that looks like a person and can run at SUPER SPEED, that does unnatural things and all that, that him and his friends can breathe in SPACE of all places lol

Back to the OVA, with you thinking if the other islands were developed makes me think of the history of them and what the world was like before too. I think people with animal counterparts became a big thing in Japan? Forgot to say, kinda wish we saw more of the silly old owl guy if the series came to be

@radicalblur nekomimi/kemonomimi (animal ears) were a trend in 90s JP I noticed, but it also reminds me of archie sonic in a way how humans just naturally faded out as a species making robotnik and snivley the few humans alive, and in the OVA w/ the mountains seperating from the earth there definitely was casualties, maybe animal ppl and critters like sonic became the dominant species?

wish we also got to see more of old man owl in some continuity, it wasn't until the current movies and IDW that we got to see owl sonic characters ever again... which is also really interesting (thinking emoji)

@wackyworkbench I'm really coming back to Sonic after a long time and thinking about reading the comics and archie, I remember hearing about Snivley, I think he was really really early in the series. i plan to stay until an official confirmation about ai being in the source code editor is actually in use and in my face annoying me. i did mirror over to nekoweb as a backup, but neocities is my home still.

It's not really a problem to me. It's his opinion and one that was made a year ago, apparently. I understand the concern but it's not enough to make me move. That said, I've been eyeballing Nekoweb for other reasons.

@wackyworkbench Ah yeah, there's rumors but nothing's confirmed. I think a lot of users are also staying though. Once the dust settles, it'll just be yet another day online until some even crazier happens lol.
