Some files have been modified to remain consistent with the established lore, done manually by myself. This includes, but is not limited to, the names.json, (clan).json, and game_config.toml files. Suggestions are always welcome, but may not be taken.

Content Warning

As is the nature of both Warriors and ClanGen, the content on this website may not be suitable for everyone. While a lot of the content written errs on the same themes of the original books, there may be darker elements that get brought up.

A list for these warnings will be added once content begins to stray away from canon-typical content.

What is LittleGen?

LittleGen is a ClanGen writing exercise, entangled in adjacent Warriors universe. Arcs follow the original four Clans in the forest territories, though with more worldbuilding and unique Clan culture than seen in the books.

What are the rules?

  1. This is a story writing exercise.
    1. There needs to be a minimum of 3 paragraphs written per season, following the events in-game. The "end goal" is to complete the story to a satisfying conclusion.
    2. One cat from each Clan will be selected as "the main character."
    3. Locations may be supplemented with this generator.
    4. Cats are expected to act within character when being written, played in patrols or leadership duties, or making general player-made decisions. This includes whether or not they are deciding to follow or break the warrior code. This rule overrides any other rule.
  2. All in-game events, patrols, and relationships are required to be written down.
  3. All breeding restrictions:
    1. Pregnant cats over 80 moons will have a coin flip to determine whether or not they die during childbirth.
    2. Cats that are over 100 moons and are able to get pregnant will be prevented from having kits altogether.
  4. Depending on the leader's personality, non-Clan cats may be restricted from joining the Clan.
    1. Positive personalities (ie. responsible, righteous, sincere) will allow any cat into the Clan.
    2. Neutral personalities (ie. gloomy, insecure, nervous) will only allow cats that require help in order to join the Clan. This would be cats that are seniors, caring for (or are) kits, and/or are injured.
    3. Negative personalities (ie. bloodthirsty, cold, vengeful) will not allow any cat to join the Clan.
  5. Non-Clan parents will have a coin flip to determine whether or not they leave the Clan after their kits reach apprenticeship. Heads means the parent remains, tails means the parent leaves.
  6. All patrolling restrictions:
    1. Medicine cats are disallowed from going on patrol without a capable warrior. They are also disallowed from participating in border and hunting patrols.
    2. Apprentices are not allowed to go on patrol without their mentor, and vice versa.
    3. Border patrols must have 2 cats minimum, and all border intruders (ie. dogs, rogues, other Clans) must "proceed."
  7. All naming restrictions:
    1. Leaders that retire or die are required to go back to their previous name.
    2. Apprentices that die and have more than 30 EXP are granted their StarClan warrior name.
    3. Non-Clan cats that remain within the Clan permanently are required to change their name.
    4. Traditional names are a must.
