Deactivated Bluesky for now and soon it will be removed from my links, I have seen the site change and after all of this I will say I have a hard time trusting social media that's more general focused, though I have this website still and will start being more active more

Though to be fair I don't use it at all for communicating to other mutuals primarily except for like one person, so it's not too big of a deal

Yes, join me as I daily this for all my online social needs. Just a heads-up though that Neocities caps all posts and comments you make at 20 a day, resetting 24 hours after you hit the limit

Yeah, I do miss the lizard art but I'll hopefully I help with it on this site, and I still do have some places where I chat with my friends, like Discord though I am not very active in many servers anymore, and I moved over to Matrix for one of my friends I talk to anyways

Mostly just restructing the page to be easier to maintain, but the art pieces also have links when zoomed in so you can send my art over to your friends to harass them, yay!

also went and did an embed widget for other platforms on the front page for fun, went a bit too far but i got it
Will have a new page soon for on the fun stuff tab, I'll admit I kinda stole it from someone else but it missed lots of interesting stuff I found out about so I wanted to do it (hint: time)

Mostly just some small changes, but i spiced up the 404 page a bit. Though this week's gonna be pretty rough since I've got 2 exams, a project revision and some assignments so best of luck to me

fixed a bug with the character rendering on the front page, and opened up the lizard webring (I had to modify the code to get it working for my site though)

To be fair I like the idea of decentralization which you might know why, which is why I started trying out Matrix, though I have heard the situation on the fediverse culturally is a bit different from what I have seen
I know Bluesky is decentralized though, but if atproto is under this leadership it leaves me worried, but maybe i should try fediverse soon, but you could give your experience so far
the fedi is culturally different, but so far i'd say i've had a good time. i'd say it's very much more small. like on atproto, the closest thing to an instance usually tries to index the entire damn network, so you can see everyone. it seems that's not much of a thing on the fediverse.
like i'm on merping.synth.download. it's a small instance, and while i *can* follow anyone on the fediverse, the instance isn't aware of everyone, and other instances by default don't know i exist. so people can only really find me via reposts, and the trending page is sometimes just a single post of a guy's dog. i thought it would be limiting, but it's kinda more cozy to me i feel ...
I see, i personally prefer smaller communities anyways since i tend to find the content i'd find interesting and big ones are just overstimulating and shallow imo, though none of my friends I have on discord and stuff use it unfortunately, but i could give it a shot one day
